09.03.2008 - So for the past few months Melodesiac has been on hiatus. We mean to use this time to explore all the life endeavors we've been meaning to attempt. For starters, James and Arlen graduated from Tufts (like the rest of the band). That was May, meant to tell you about that. Summer also meant we had time to begin recording the songs created after the debut album "Hands High". So I'm not sure how much of a hiatus this is yet, but we will try much harder to do much less. Then again, August meant eLCee dropped a solo album [site | link]. So let the hiatus commence now... though clearly you should keep a look out for us to pop up elsewhere. Or use this time to catch someone up on all the Melodesiac they missed. Peace.

02.07.2008 - Melodesiac has begun a reclaiming of the interwebs. Essentially we've spread ourselves to other sites in supplement to the much beloved space upon which you gaze. The plan is that you run into Melodesiac wherever you may surf. [Does anyone still say "surf" in terms of web? That should be outdated by now. I digress.] Anyway, the plethora of sites is too many to list here... instead google us. See what you find. Then 'share' your favorite link amongst your crew.

01.16.2008 - Hi everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates on the site. Despite what you may think from the lack of news on here, we've actually been really busy this fall. We've played a bunch of shows both in Boston and New York, and we're working on some new tunes that you may or may not have heard if you've seen us since October. The big news right now is that we're finally having a CD release party for our debut album, "Hands High." It's going down Saturday, January 26th at the prestigious Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge. We're hoping to have a giant party of a show with all our friends, so if you're in the area- trust us, you don't want to miss this.

07.06.2007 - We took a brief hiatus in the month of June and are currently working on new tunes and solidifying tour dates for the summer and beyond. Since the spring we've hooked up with the people at A&R select. Check out our page on their website here. We have some summer gigs already set, so check out our tour section to keep posted. More in the works!

04.19.2007 - We just booked the Somerville Theatre for Friday night, May 4th. We will be playing the show with the band The Juice as well as Tufts a capella group the Beelzebubs. This will be our last big show of the year and we expect to absolutely kill it so if you're digging what you heard on the CD or want to get a look at us, come out to this show and bring everyone you know. We're still ironing out details about timing and tickets so keep your eyes on the website and we'll keep you updated.

04.05.2007 - "Hands High" is now available to buy online at CDFreedom.com . Hard copies are available at CDfreedom as well. The Tufts Daily published an article today reviewing the new album. Read it online here.
